How to Vote on This Machine:
1. When you enter your polling place, you’ll receive a "smart-card" after a poll worker signs you in. Take the smart-card to a voting machine and insert the smart-card into the yellow slot visible in the middle picture above.
2. Select your preferred language (where applicable) by touching the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions to make voting selections by touching the screen.
3. If the AVC Edge is equipped with a voter-verifiable paper audit trail “VeriVote” printer: Carefully inspect the printout displayed next to the touchscreen. If the printout accurately reflects your choices, you may then cast your vote; the printout will scroll into the machine to protect your privacy. (If the printout is incorrect, go back to check your votes carefully and correct any vote using the touchscreen interface, then check the new printout.) If there is no printer, carefully check your choices on the summary screen before you cast your vote.
4. When your vote is cast, return the smart-card to a poll worker.
REMEMBER: You have the right to ask for assistance from a poll worker during the voting process. If the poll worker is unable to resolve any machine-related problem you might have, do not cast your ballot on the machine. You have a right to vote on a system that is working. If none is available, an alternative – such as an emergency paper ballot – should be provided.
