Downloadable audio: Committee on House Administration hearings on verification, security, and paper trails for electronic voting machines

The Committee on House Administration of the U.S. Congress today held hearings on verification, security, and paper trails for electronic voting machines. An archived copy of the webcast from that hearing, along with the written testimony submitted by the witnesses, is currently available on the Committee's website, but it might not remain there on a permanent basis.

Verified Voting is currently reviewing the hearing transcript and the written testimony submitted by the witnesses, and will be posting its analysis on out web site later this week. Verified Voting will also be making a formal written submission to the Committee for inclusion in the hearing record, and that document will also be posted once it is submitted.

Verified Voting thanks the Committee's Chairman, Rep. Vernon Ehlers, for organizing today's hearing, for conducting it in a fair and constructive manner, and for extending to Rep. Rush Holt (the author of H.R. 550) the courtesy of joining with the Committee in questioning the witnesses.
